Judith Mwaya

Bio

Judith Mwaya is policy expert with a rich background in tech policy, having worked at the intersection of technology and public policy. Her work experience includes delivering projects focused on Fostering Local Innovation in Africa, Data Governance Frameworks for Developing Economies, and Web3 Applications in Emerging Economies with a focus on CBDCs. Her work on the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has been featured in leading Pan-African publications such as The Africa Report, Jeune Afrique, and Africa Business.

A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with a Master’s in African Development, Judith has specialized in Applied Development Economics, demonstrating her deep commitment to Africa’s socio-economic transformation. She currently works at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change based in London. Her previous experience also spans policy and practice coordination in East Africa with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and research consultancy roles with UNDP and DFID.
