Tiangboho Sanogo

Transformation Fellow

Bio

Dr. Sanogo is a Transformation Fellow at ACET. His assignments include undertaking analytical work on macroeconomic issues in Africa; focusing particularly on fiscal policies, structural reforms and a variety of economic topics.

In addition, Tiangboho is part of the team implementing several multi-country projects such as the ‘Youth, Employment and Skills’ project that involves close collaboration with governments across Africa and the Compact with Africa Programme consisting of twelve member countries.

His main interests are in Tax and Fiscal reforms, Decentralisation policy design, inclusive growth, and applied econometrics, focusing primarily on sub-Saharan Africa. Tiangboho has extensive experience in international development and policy engagement and dialogue. He has published in top peer-review economic journals such as World Development.

Prior to joining ACET, he worked as a Lecturer at Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche sur le Development International” (CERDI) of the University Clermont Auvergne in France, teaching Public finance management, domestic revenue mobilisation and macroeconomics. He has also consulted for several organisations including the French Agency for Development in Paris and the International Center for Tax and Development in the UK.

Tiangboho holds a PhD and a MSc in Public Finances, international development and Econometrics from CERDI. He also holds a MSc in Applied Macroeconomics and Economic of Education from the Felix Houphouet Boigny University, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
