What

With the need for long-term planning and restructuring of the Ghanaian economy now clearer than ever, the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) and Ghana’s National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) organized the Ghana Transformation Forum on 10-11 February 2015. The meeting drew on the findings of ACET’s 2014 African Transformation Report and the NDPC’s Agenda for Transformation program (a program of economic and social policies). The Ghana forum was the first of several that ACET convened around the continent in 2015.  The forum focused on themes that the NDPC and ACET  identified as critical to the country’s medium to long-term transformation: energy, export promotion, labor-intensive light manufacturing, local content, skills development, and tourism. Discussions culminated in a ministerial roundtable.
