As our Knowledge Manager, Sharmaine has several responsibilities. She oversees ACET’s content curation and engagement strategy, developing integrated dissemination strategy outlines across ACET’s program departments covering stakeholder engagement, dissemination, and monitoring and evaluation in line with ACET’s overall business strategy. Her knowledge management role involves managing all aspects of ACET’s publication library including collation, categorization, and dissemination of various knowledge products. Finally, as part of stakeholder engagement, she manages ACET’s policy implementation department by driving all aspects of the Pan-African Coalition for Transformation (PACT).
Sharmaine holds 10 years of experience in content development, digital marketing, and communications from past experiences at multinational companies such as Djembe Consultants, Multichoice Africa, L’Oreal, and Airtel-Tigo. In her most recent role as Account Manager at global communications consultancy Djembe Consultants, Sharmaine was in charge of carrying out day-to-day PR and Communications activities by proactively leading and supporting client programs. Her contributions focused on market research and reputation audits, strategic activations, stakeholder engagement road-shows, PR campaigns, and above-the-line activity involving the development of adverts and their placements.
Sharmaine holds an MSc in Marketing (Distinction) from the University of Leicester, UK and a BSc in Business, Organizations and Society (Minor in Economics) from Franklin & Marshall College, USA both contributing to her international approach to Integrated Marketing Communications.
