George Boateng is a Senior Research Analyst working in Development Microeconomics, working in the fields of agriculture, food security, trade, and production economics in Africa.
George holds an MSc in Rural Development and Management (International Development Studies) from the China Agricultural University (CAU) in Beijing, China. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He also holds a certificate in Climate Change from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and a certificate in New Structural Economics from the Peking University, China.
Prior to ACET, he worked with the Ministry of Agriculture in the fields of Agricultural Extension and Agroindustry Development, and with Barclays Bank of Ghana in the field of Business Development. He was previously a Southern Voices Network Scholar at the Wilson Center in Washington D.C.
