President Sahle-Work Zewde of Ethiopia receives Dr. Amoako ahead of Transformation Leadership Panel meeting

Addis Ababa: The President of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, President Sahle-Work Zewde, yesterday received  Dr. Kingsley Amoako, Founder and President of the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), at the Presidential palace in Addis Ababa, ahead of the second meeting of the Transformation Leadership Panel (TLP) in the city.

Dr. Amoako briefed President Zewde on the on the progress of the of the TLP, a group of eminent people focusing on some of Africa’s critical economic challenges with the aim of developing a coordinated approach to help tackle the most intractable issues.

He also took her through some of the themes of ACET’s forthcoming biennial African Transformation Report (ATR) as well as arrangements being made for the African Transformation Forum (ATF), set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya on 17th and 18th June 2020. The ATR, the third in the series, will be launched at the ATF.
