On the occasion of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, ACET president, K.Y. Amoako, participated in several activities, including the African Business Awards (ABA) and the African Leadership Forum (ALF). Past ABA winners are the cream of the African private sector. One of the night’s big winners was Helen Hai, to whom Dr. Amoako presented the African Business Icon Award, the first time in the event’s history that the award has gone to a non-African, for her contribution to Africa’s industrial and export progress.
