On cassava value chains

In July, ACET completed twenty value chain studies, of eight crops and livestock–cassava, cocoa, cotton, cow, rice, millet, poultry, and sorghum–in five African countries–Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. We have since been pushing hard for adoption of some of the insights from the report. In September, the leaders of Ghana’s cattle traders’ association visited us at our Accra headquarters. This week, Julius Gatune shared the results of the cassava study at a meeting of all the directors of Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
