The dialogue discussed the business of agriculture, economic growth and transformation. It also interrogated whether the business of agriculture would deliver the aspiration of transforming the economy of Ghana. The key objective of the dialogue was to engender a greater understanding of the role and potential of agriculture in economic transformation. The dialogue also assessed factors that could boost the agriculture industry and the agro business sector.
The workshop attracted representatives from civil society organizations, financial services sector, Government agencies, the business community, economists, and agricultural based organizations, among others.
The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) was represented by Dede Amanor-Wilks, who moderated the event and Dr. Baah-Boateng, a key panelist.
