ACET in talks with Multimedia

The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) communications team recently met representatives of the Multimedia Group in Accra, to explore avenues for partnership.

Multimedia is a privately owned media group in Ghana with media coverage in West and East Africa.

The 1st August meeting discussed a program format that would facilitate the dissemination of ACET’s research findings to television audiences in Ghana and beyond. The two institutions agreed to produce a 13-part current affairs series covering economic transformation themes.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed after details have been finalized.

The meeting followed a preliminary discussion on July 4, during which the ACET Communications team introduced its new director and discussed ACET’s research activities and areas of possible collaboration between the two institutions.

For her part Group Head, Emma Morrison described the scope and reach of the Multimedia Group, which includes JoyFM, AdomFM, JoyOnline, AsempaFM and MultiTV. She also discussed the various programme formats available.

Media partnerships are part of ACET’s 2016 Strategic Communication Plan. The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is an economic policy institute supporting Africa’s long-term growth through transformation. Its vision is to support an economically transformed Africa within a generation.
