Accra, October 2, 2023 – The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) and ConvergenceAI have signed an MoU to collaborate on advancing economic transformation and harnessing the power of AI as a catalyst for positive change on the continent.
ACET is a pan-African economic policy institute that provides research, policy advice, and institutional strengthening for African governments and other development partners. ConvergenceAI is an AI company that fosters innovation, drives growth, and shapes the future of Africa’s AI ecosystem.
The partnership will leverage the complementary strengths and expertise of both organizations to achieve several objectives:
- Advance AI Research: Collaborate on groundbreaking AI research projects that push the boundaries of innovation.
- Foster Collaboration: Create opportunities for AI enthusiasts, experts, and organizations to come together, share ideas, and drive progress.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share insights, knowledge, and best practices to empower individuals and organizations in the AI field.
- Impact-Driven Solutions: Develop AI solutions that address critical challenges facing Africa, from healthcare to agriculture and beyond.
- Advocate: Advocate for policies and initiatives that support responsible AI growth in Africa.
