African Transformation Report (ATR)

The Africa Transformation Report (ATR) is a flagship publication that highlights the results of ACET’s research on countries’ transformation performance, subsector studies on prospects for diversification and increased export competitiveness, and thematic studies on the fundamental drivers of transformation. The Report uses the ATI to assess and compare countries’ economic transformation performance. The ATR, in addition to highlighting ACET research in a more popular forum, aims to promote debate, bring analysis and data to inform the debate, and spur action by policy makers and private sector actors on economic transformation in Africa.

ACET has created a tentative outline for the report and it is currently in the process of summarizing the key concepts and findings from the research work stream described above to incorporate them in the document. A more refined outline will be presented to a group of experts in late November 2011 for review and feedback. The first draft of the report is expected by end-March 2012 and the final document in the third quarter of 2012.
