Senior Advisor
Nicolas Depetris Chauvin is Senior Advisor at the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET). He is a development economist with extensive research and policy analysis experience in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Prior to joining ACET, Nicolas worked as an assistant professor of Public Policy at Dubai School of Government and as a Policy Specialist in the Office of Development Studies at the United Nations Development Programme. Nicolas has also worked as a consultant at the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Ministry of Economics of Argentina, among others. He has held academic positions at the University of Oxford, the Dubai School of Government, INSEAD, and Universidad de Buenos Aires among others.
Nicolas holds a Ph D in Economics from Princeton University. He did his undergraduate studies in Economics at the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina where he also obtained a Masters degree in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
